DIH DIGIMAT is the first functional Digital Innovation Hub in the Czech Republic.
This unique platform develops and implements digital technologies in manufacturing companies and coordinates educational activities. In addition, it also connects Czech manufacturers with experts and helps create new projects in the implementation of digital technologies.
The DIGIMAT consulting programme provides small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with various services, including needs analysis, the design of tailor-made solutions, and their final implementation. Everything is delivered with the assistance of experienced and proven experts on digital technologies and Industry 4.0.
In conjunction with technology partners and research organizations, the platform allows you to even try very costly solutions. At the same time, it helps you discover the possibilities offered by the latest technologies, as well as advising you on how to prioritize their implementation.
DIH DIGIMAT is an open platform capable of responding to the diverse needs of Czech manufacturing companies. The founding members of the platform are the research and development centre INTEMAC, Brno University of Technology, Industry Cluster 4.0 and JIC. These four key players also ensure the involvement of other important actors (e.g. startups, well-established companies, chambers of commerce) in DIH activities. Services provided to companies within the activities of the Digital Innovation Hub DIGIMAT are financed by the South Moravian Region.
Regional initiatives aimed at digitizing industry
The DIH DIGIMAT project was launched as part of a European Union initiative (I4MS) which aimed to facilitate the introduction of digital technologies in manufacturing companies. After pilot testing, the DIGIMAT consulting programme was successfully launched in 2017, and is managed and coordinated by the INTEMAC centre. The activities of the Digital Innovation Hub DIGIMAT have their focus in South Moravia. At the same time, it significantly contributes to implementation of the national strategy aimed at Industry 4.0, and is closely connected with the activities of the National Centre for Industry 4.0 (NCP 4.0).
Brno University of Technology (BUT) is the second largest technical/engineering university in the Czech Republic. This internationally recognized educational institution offers cutting-edge first-class scientific and professional knowledge at eight faculties and three university institutes.
INTEMAC (Intemac Solutions s.r.o.) is a centre for research, development and advanced technologies, which focuses on applied research, experimental development, and education in the fields of engineering and manufacturing technology. It provides expert services and access to modern technologies, while supporting the cooperation of companies and researchers throughout the South Moravian Region.
INDUSTRY CLUSTER 4.0 is an important association of engineering and technology companies from the South Moravian Region and beyond that have come together in order to strengthen their competitiveness and innovative activities.
JIC has been supporting people in the creation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises in South Moravia for fifteen years. In this way it contributes to creating high-skilled jobs and strengthening competitiveness in the region.
DIH^2 – A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR CZECH MANUFACTURERS
We realize that digitization in manufacturing often requires considerable investment. Thanks to the DIH^2 project, Czech manufacturing companies have the opportunity to raise up to EUR 248,000 for their project based on the use of robots in manufacturing. The purpose of the DIH^2 programme is to support small and medium-sized companies in introducing agile robotics into manufacturing and thus increase their productivity and competitiveness.
